Denver's Hot Neighborhoods

Based on the recent issue of 5280, the Denver real estate market is still a powerful one. While a few of the more costly neighborhoods took a little hit in value (East Wash Park, University Park, Country Club) we saw some Denver neighborhoods gain up to 13% appreciation from a year ago! A lot of people still seem to want to purchase a home in Denver. Thanks to our visionary leader Mayor John Hickenlooper at the helm, we’ve seen Denver transform into a major cosmopolitan city with the finest museums, parks, restaurants and shopping that you are likely to find anywhere in the country. More and more people are seeking an urban lifestyle and moving closer and closer to the city. Denver is hopping and the future of our Real Estate market is bright.
Many of the most prosperous neighborhoods are located right near the city. People are flocking to the city to take advantage of the reasonably priced market and get a home near the new light rail, bike trails, restaurants and museums. Look at the chart below to see which neighborhoods gained the most appreciation.
Buildings-residences.com allows you to discover homes for sale in these hot neighborhoods. With powerful tools you’ll find everything you need to know about the area and search for homes for sale in any of the surrounding neighborhoods.
Top Picks
Baker
The Baker Neighborhood is a designated Historic District located just to the south of the city and just minutes away from the Golden Triangle and Downtown Denver. With its unique charm and high walking scores, it has become populated by young professionals and first-time home buyers. Baker is one of Denver’s oldest hoods, sporting Victorian architecture and the most Queen Anne Victorian homes in all of Denver. By far we see the most Neighborhood Search traffic on buildings-residences.com for the Baker Neighborhood. This isn’t a coincidence, a lot of buyer’s are actively seeking Real Estate in the Baker Neighborhood right now.
Lower Highland
Possibly one of the "hottest" and hip places in Denver is the Lower Highland Neighborhood, also referred to as the LoHi Neighborhood.. Think happening restaurants, a new contemporary art museum, and an architecturally forward-thinking bridge. The neighborhoods are easier than ever to visit in tandem, thanks to the bicycle-and-pedestrian Highland Bridge.
Curtis Park
Just north of Downtown Denver you’ll find the Curtis Park community, a historic area developed in the 1860s and 1870s as a fashionable residential suburb. This is the oldest and most classic residential neighborhood within the city. Take a quick trip to Curtis Park today, and you will find it continues to be one of the center city’s most accessible communities for The downtown area workers and consumers. This is one of my personal favorite neighborhoods in Denver.
Santa Fe
Known for it's "First Fridays", where local galleries open their doors and present you with free wine and cheese, the Santa Fe district is one of the most artsy areas in town. Local and nationally recognized artists are on display during the Denver art walk that occurs every first Friday of the month.
River North, RiNo
Some of the most creative and unique lofts were created in the RiNo neighborhood.. River North is often referred to as "RiNo".. If you want to be right downtown near all of the action of LoDo in one of the fastest growth areas of Denver then you found the right place. There are some really interesting properties in this district.
